Buelow Vetter Buikema Olson & Vliet Expands Practice with Additions of Attorneys Mary S. Gerbig, Saveon D. Grenell and Lisa M. Bergersen

Buelow Vetter Buikema Olson & Vliet has added three new attorneys – Mary S. Gerbig, Saveon D. Grenell and Lisa M. Bergersen – to expand its growing labor and employment law practice serving corporations, schools and municipalities throughout Wisconsin.

Lisa brings a wealth of employment law expertise and practical HR experience, and Saveon will join our team of experienced attorneys providing legal services to employers throughout the state.”

Attorney Gerbig joins Buelow Vetter as a shareholder serving as counsel to numerous school districts throughout Wisconsin on general school law, special education, and labor and employment matters. She serves school districts, Cooperative Educational Service Agencies (CESA) and other municipal employers. She has represented school districts in numerous student special education and discrimination hearings and mediations under the Individuals with Disabilities Act (IDEA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Office for Civil Rights (OCR). She resides in Madison.

Attorney Grenell joins the firm after serving as an Assistant City Attorney for the City of Milwaukee for the past two years, working in the Neighborhood Revitalization and Ordinance Enforcement Division as a prosecutor and providing legal services to various City departments. He also previously worked as an Employment Relations Specialist for Milwaukee Public Schools, negotiating with various local union organizations. Grenell has a bachelor’s degree in international business and a juris doctorate degree from Texas Southern University. He resides in the City of Milwaukee. His practice will focus on providing labor and employment law and litigation services for private and public sector employers.

Attorney Bergersen is Of Counsel with Buelow Vetter after serving 11 years as the Human Resources Director for the City of Pewaukee. She has 30 years of experience in employment law and human resources, including 19 years as a partner with Lindner & Marsack, an employment law firm. She earned her law degree at Marquette University. Her practice will focus on representing public and private sector clients in workplace investigations, compliance training and development of human resources policies and initiatives. She currently resides in Oconomowoc.
