Up Close & Personal
Q: Do you have children?
A: Jon and I have two boys. Ian is a senior studying journalism and global studies at UW-Milwaukee and Connor is a junior studying mechanical engineering at UW-Platteville.
Q: What music would we find on your playlist?
A: You would find quite a variety of different artists - MercyMe, Toby Mac, Lauren Diagle, Peter White, Rippingtons, ELO, Imagine Dragons and Foster the People, to name only a few.
Q: What is your favorite TV show and why?
A: A few months ago, Jon and I discovered Last Man Standing and we have binge watched many times since. The characters and the story line are very witty and funny, and often touching at the same time.
Q: What is the most memorable moment of your career?
A: My most memorable career moment was arguing before the Seventh Circuit at the University of Illinois Law School. Apparently, the court likes to take the show on the road and schedules arguments periodically at different venues. Judge Easterbrook was fun, brilliant and on my client's side, so I enjoyed every moment and forgot there were 100 or so law students behind us.
Q: What is your favorite quote and why?
A: Proverbs 3:5-6 from the Bible: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths." This is my favorite life verse because it's true.
