Buelow Vetter Buikema Olson & Vliet Expands Practice with Additions of Attorneys Lauren E. Burand and Emily R. Turzinski

WAUKESHA, WI (October 2, 2020) – Buelow Vetter Buikema Olson & Vliet has added two new attorneys – Lauren E. Burand and Emily R. Turzniski– to expand its growing labor and employment law practice serving corporations, schools and municipalities throughout Wisconsin.

Lauren Burand joins the firm after serving as a Law Clerk in the First and Sixth Districts of Iowa for the past two years, working with trial judges to research and write opinions on various civil matters, including employment discrimination and workers compensation review claims. She has her law degree from the University of Iowa and has a bachelor’s degree in Spanish from Wheaton College.  She grew up in the Milwaukee area and now resides in Brookfield. Her practice will focus on providing labor and employment services for private and public sector clients.

Emily Turzinski is a recent graduate from Marquette University Law School and joins Buelow Vetter’s school law team. She has previously served as a law clerk at Buelow Vetter. Her practice focuses primarily on school law, including employee and student handbooks and school board policies; student discipline; special education due process; employee discipline and dismissal; issues arising under the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Family Medical Leave Act; and issues arising under Title IX.
